I attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville where I majored in biology and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in science. I then went on to graduate cum laude at the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic (Davenport, Iowa), where I was selected to serve in the Sports Injury and Rehabilitation Department and interned within CrossFit Supercell/Spear Chiropractic Wellness (Rockford, Illinois). Post-graduation, I started my own chiropractic business within CrossFit Recursive (Madison, Wisconsin) and attained my Chiropractic Sports Physician certification from Palmer College of Chiropractic (Port Orange, Florida). Currently, I am a Chiropractic Physician at Spine Pain Center in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. In addition, I work closely with The Citadel football team.
My clinic approach first identifies movement patterns. This is how I discover the way your “brain engages your muscles” and addresses motion in the joints through both moving and mobilizing joints.
Then, I determine how that movement has impacted your soft tissue structures (such as ligaments, tendons, muscles and fascia). Following this, I use manual therapies and soft tissue treatments to gain a complete understanding of the exact nature of your pain and injury.
Finally, I focus on how movement has impacted your muscle strength. Through rehabilitation exercises, I can begin to “retrain your brain” from dealing with these abnormal patterns the body has adopted in response to injury.
Together, these techniques comprise my unique, evidence-based approach. When partnered with the rigorous attention to quality of care by my team, this approach truly sets Spine Pain Center apart.
