A native of Mahopac, NY, Brendan enjoys working with a variety of patient populations. He takes pride in identifying each patient’s unique needs and developing treatment programs in order to restore function and maximize performance. Brendan is a strong proponent of manual therapy and functional strengthening for his patients.
Prior to joining Empire Performance P.T., Brendan gained extensive experience in a various clinical settings, outpatient, acute care, and subacute settings. He finished his clinical education at Empire Performance P.T., working directly under the supervision of Owner Tony Tanzi, PT, DPT, CSCS. Brendan earned doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from The University of Scranton in Scranton, PA in 2016. He also received his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from The University of Scranton in 2013. He is also Certified in Applied Functional Science (CAFS) through the Gray Institute, which has furthered his ability to customize assessment, treatment, and training programs for each individual.
While studying for his Doctorate, Brendan also served as the Assistant Coach for The University of Scranton’s Mens Lacrosse team where he oversaw the Royals’ Defense and Man-Down unit. Under Brendan’s direction, Scranton’s defense finished 12th in the nation in scoring defense, and 1st in the conference in Man-down defense.
Brendan was a four year lacrosse student-athlete at The University of Scranton. He was an All-Conference selection in 2013, and a member of the 2011 Landmark Conference championship team. Prior to college, Brendan was a three sport athlete at Mahopac High School, participating in Soccer, Basketball and Lacrosse.
