I have always believed that you will never know unless you ask. Here are a few questions to help you get to know me!
I CrossFit because… it works. From the methodology to the application, I don’t think there’s anything as effective. I came across CrossFit while training to become a firefighter and nothing has ever challenged me the way it does. It’s humbling, it’s hard and it’s my outlet.
I coach because… I love to see people succeed where they thought it wasn’t possible. I genuinely believe that we all have more inside of us than we think. Helping people realize that part of themselves and push the limits of their potential, both in the gym and out of it, is why I do what I do.
My favorite workout or movement is… I love to back squat. For workouts, anything with a barbell and handstand pushups…cue 15.4.
My spirit animal is… a gorilla. Silverback for sure. Raw strength, protective instincts. It’s pretty obvious, isn’t it?
If I could be any food, it would be… Coffee because everyone can appreciate a good cup of coffee and everyone knows a bad cup of coffee. Coffee doesn’t bullshit you and neither will I.
How I Stay Moving:
I have a coach who works with me throughout the year on my movement goals at that time. I use variety of movements to help prioritize balanced strength capacity and aerobic capacity. I love to challenge myself and continue to explore what I am capable of. Lifting weights has always been near and dear to my heart, but more recently I have been putting a strong emphasis on my breathing practice as well. It has become very clear to me that if we can’t breath properly, we won’t be able to move properly!
